Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power Co., Ltd. ("Guiguan Electric Power", stock code 600236), a subsidiary company of China Datang, was established in September 1992. It is the country's first company to raise funds?by going pubic in Shanghai Stock Exchanges in March,2000,?to build large and medium-sized hydropower stations. It is the largest listed company in terms of market value and the power generation company with the largest installed capacity in Guangxi. As of the end of 2022, the company’s total?installed capacity?reached?12.54GW, including 10.2GW of hydropower, 1.3GW?of thermal power, 766MW?of wind power, and 219MW?of PV power, with clean energy accounting?for 89.39%. The annual green power generation?was amount to the equivalent of saving 12 million tons?of standard coal.

As of the end of May 2023, the cumulative power generation exceeded 745.396 billion kWhs. The green electricity supplied?is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 250 million tons and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 671 million tons. It is equivalent to planting 1.8312 million hectares of broad-leaved forest.?Suppose one?tree absorbs 18.3 kilograms of carbon dioxide every year, which is equivalent to planting 36.523 billion trees.

China Datang actively takes practical actions to protect local?biodiversity and maintain the stability and health of the ecosystem?by making contribution to rare and endemic fish releasing, Longtan Rare Wild Plant Conservation Park, Xijin National Wetland Park.
The rare and endemic fish breeding station in the middle reaches of the Hongshui River (Yantan-Letan) serves as an important project of China Datang to guard the biodiversity of the Hongshui River Basin. In recent years, China Datang has continuously carried out artificial freshwater fish enhancement and releasing in Guangxi, resulting in a total of about 5 million fish released.??
In addition to the fish breeding and releasing center station, China Datang have built 8 rare wild plants protection gardens covering an area of 6,000 square meters in Longtan Hydropower Station, with 4,578 rare plants of more than ten species being relocated and protected. Among them, a 240-years-old red bean tree, the national second-class protected tree species, has been transplanted for protection, as well as other rare trees such as red toon and Rendou tree.

Clear water, green banks, and birds flying. Xijin National Wetland Park, located in the upper reaches of Xijin Power Plant, with a wetland rate of 87.41%, is one of the largest artificial wetlands in South China, attracting a large number of migratory birds to stop here for the winter due to its harmonious and livable conditions and suitable living environment, and providing a comfortable habitat for many endangered plants and animals. Nowadays, the number of rare plants and animals in the reservoir area of each hydroelectric power station of China Datang in Guangxi?is constantly setting new records. Herons, Hainan tiger-spotted flycatchers, and Chinese Autumn Sand Ducks, which are known as "giant pandas among birds", are frequently appearing.
